Family Educational and Interpretive Programs
Brooker Creek Preserve is a great place for families to enjoy
time together. The Center offers a variety of programs
designed specifically to engage participants of all ages. Children
must be accompanied by an adult during all programs.Visit our Calendar for a listing of current family-oriented

Book Time at Brooker Creek
Second and Fourth Thursday, 10:30 am – 11:15
am
This program is designed to introduce pre-school
children to the wonders of the natural world. Children
are treated to a story and related hands-on activity
that connect them to their environment. These
programs are free and open to the public. Pre-registration
is required and space is limited, sign up here. Please consult
our Calendar for specific
book titles.
Guided Hikes
Saturdays, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Take a walk through time each Saturday morning on
a guided hike along the Education Center Trail. Join
us for this 0.75-mile walk as we look at how the
land has changed over time and discuss the ecological
footprints left by those changes. Sturdy closed-toe
shoes are a must, and water and a hat are recommended. Pre-registration
is required by noon on the Friday before the hike, sign up here. Admission: Free. All
ages welcome - children younger than 6 may find this
hike challenging.
