Camps
During the course of the year, the Center offers a
variety of programs targeted at school-aged children
and teachers. These may include camp and workshop programs
offered during the summer and school holidays. In 2011, the Center is hosting a summer camp provided by Heinrich Ecological Services.
Herpetology
Camp by Heinrich Ecological Services
Inquisitive children love this 4-day nature
camp where they explore the fascinating world
of amphibians and reptiles side-by-side with
George Heinrich, a professional herpetologist. Through
up-close encounters with a variety of animals
such as gopher tortoises, frogs, lizards, and
snakes, campers learn about amphibian and reptile
ecology and conservation.
Science-based, hands-on nature day camps designed for children ages 7 – 11.
Herpetology Camp: July 18 - July 22
Wildlife Ecology Camp: July 25 – 29
Cost: $150 per week; limited to 30 campers each week on a first-come basis
