Toad-ally Terrific Field Camp: June 18-22 or June 25-29

Ages: 9 - 11
Cost: $150 per week
In this hands-on field camp children ages 9-11 will be lead by certified elementary classroom teachers with field experience to a different habitat at Brooker Creek Preserve each day. We will go off the hiking trail into a pine flatwoods, a sandhill, the creek and a swamp. In the field, we will investigate and compare the characteristics of each habitat (soil type, plants and animals, temperature, amount of sun/shade) to discover what makes each habitat unique and important, and to discover how we are connected to it all.

Herpetology Camp : July 23 - 27

Science-based, hands-on nature day camps designed for children
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Ages 7 -11
Cost: $150 per week; limited to 30 campers each week on a first-come basis
Inquisitive children love this 5-day nature camp where they explore the fascinating world of amphibians and reptiles side-by-side with George Heinrich, a professional herpetologist. Through up-close encounters with a variety of animals such as gopher tortoises, frogs, lizards, and snakes, campers learn about amphibian and reptile ecology and conservation.

Wildlife Ecology Camp: July 30 - August 3

This summer camp is designed for children with a strong interest in nature. Campers will explore the ecology and conservation of Florida’s wildlife and natural habitats with field biologist and environmental educator, George L. Heinrich. A blend of classroom and field sessions will include hands-on activities, guest presentation, and exploration of the preserve’s diverse habitats, where campers will practice their nature detective skills.
