Receptionist/Information Docent
If you are interested in nature, sustainable living, and the
interaction between people and their environment, this is a great
opportunity to provide valuable assistance at the Brooker Creek
Preserve Environmental Education Center. Volunteers must be able
to work a minimum of three (3) hours per month, Thursday
through Saturday. If you are interested in learning more about

Education Assistant
Education Assistants work with youth groups to help
with educational programs. This rewarding opportunity
is ideal for those with backgrounds in education
or who enjoy interacting with young program participants.

Hike Guide
Do you enjoy sharing your love of nature with others? Then
the Hike Guide position may
be for you! The Center offers a variety of
guided hikes for the public throughout the week. Working
in teams of two, volunteers lead the participants
along designated routes in the Preserve. Training is provided.

Office Assistants
Volunteers play a crucial role behind the scenes
at Brooker Creek Preserve. Office tasks vary and include filing, data entry and answering the telephone. Put your talents and skills to work behind the scenes

Preserve Maintenance
If outdoor maintenance appeals to you, volunteer opportunities
are numerous. Volunteers are needed to maintain hiking
trails, to help eliminate exotic vegetation such as
Chinese tallow trees and cogon grass, and to help beautify
the public areas of the Brooker Creek Preserve. Training
on tool use and lightweight vehicles is provided. Please
ask for our Preserve Supervisor when you contact
us.
