Volunteer Workshops
All volunteers are provided regular training opportunities
about Brooker Creek Preserve. In addition to basic
volunteer orientation, workshops are conducted
specifically for volunteers, providing hands-on
activities and field explorations. Volunteer training
workshops are open to all new, current and potential
Environmental Lands Division volunteers.
Special Opportunities
Specialized workshops and field trips are offered
throughout the year to provide in-depth information
on a variety of topics. Opportunities may
be seasonal in nature and are often determined
by requests from volunteers. Whether you
are a veteran volunteer or new to our volunteer
corps, these programs are a fun way to learn more
about Brooker Creek Preserve. Contact us to learn more about upcoming
events.
Volunteer Benefits
Volunteering at Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental
Education Center provides much more than the rewarding
experiences of meeting new people and sharing experiences
with visitors from around the world. Volunteers
are often invited to participate in exclusive programs
and organized outings such as specialty hikes,
guided canoe trips, picnics, ballgames, and trips
to other Centers and museums. It is
just one of the ways we say “Thank You” to
our dedicated volunteers. Contact our Assistant
Volunteer Site Coordinator to learn more about upcoming opportunities.
Volunteer Appreciation
A few times each year, the Division and Center staff
host informal galas to honor of our volunteers. Imagine
an afternoon or evening of good food and great company
where volunteers gather to help us recognize the extraordinary
assistance provided through the Division’s volunteer
program. These days are for you! |
