Horse Trails
Help us manage this trail for the enjoyment of all
equestrians and the protection of our natural resources. Before
riding, please familiarize yourself with our trail rules.
At Brooker Creek Preserve, equestrians are offered:
- Over nine (9) miles of riding pleasure on two (2)
different trails that meander through pinelands and
open fields.
- Equestrian
trails are natural paths maintained through periodic
mowing.
- Hitching posts and paddocks are not
provided.
- Water is always a must. Please
bring enough for both you and your horse.
- Please note that all trails are available for day use only.
- Overnight parking is not allowed. For your safety, the license plate number of vehicles remaining in the parking lot will be shared with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Violators may be ticketed.
- Brooker Creek Preserve does not
rent horses or provide guided horseback activities.
Hours: Open 7 days a week, 7 a.m. to time posted, approximately one hour
before sunset. Daily closing time is posted at the entrance to
the Preserve and at the hiking trailheads.
Holidays: Closed the day AFTER Thanksgiving and December 25.
Scenic
Horse Trail

The Scenic Horse Trail wanders through beautiful
pine plantations, past wetlands, and across vast
old fields at Brooker Creek Preserve. Plenty
of wildlife is visible on this equestrian-only trail. The
trailhead, located off Old Keystone Road,
offers plenty of parking for vehicles and horse trailers.

Exercise
Horse Trail
Distance: 3.9
miles
Riding
Time: 1 hour
The Exercise Horse Trail was designed with the local
horse enthusiast in mind. Located
at the end of Lora Lane, it is accessible from
Ranch Road through a local access trail.
No trailer parking is offered at this location.
